Critics Consensus

Just ordinary. LXG is a great premise ruined by poor execution.

It's big, silly, and entertaining, and even its most naked franchise ambitions feel fun rather than frustrating, because they're so blatant. Go to Full Review Neil Norman London Evening Standard Jan 11, 2018
Sadly, the rot sets in just over the halfway mark when the action loses its identity of fustian heroism and degenerates into another arcade video game of mundane destruction. A pity. Go to Full Review Nell Minow Common Sense Media Dec 28, 2010

david B @MrBoston_Movie Sep 30, 2026 as stated, interesting concept, but diluted story line wifh over the top execution See more Frans B @FransB Sep 22, 2026 Enjoyed watching this motley crew mish mash of good bad guys doing their thing. So much to justify a higher rating, but nevertheless ... Good storytelling, huge amount of effort went into this production. Great cinematography, and although the effects are dodgy most times, it sure is atmospheric and stygian. Whole cast excels in character. Filled with wonder, adventure, action of all kinds, drama, huge twists, emotion and intrigue. Entertaining and captivating See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 10, 2026 This movie is a 2.5 star Movie See more Torben K @Metalman451 Sep 7, 2026 Repetitive and overall incredibly boring. The whole plot just feels extremely loose and uninspired. Great idea, but poorly executed. See more Ben W @Username618 Jun 30, 2026 Comic's much worse though. See more R T @RT37083768 Mar 19, 2026 Not the best. Don't think anyone is having a good time in this film. See more Read all reviews
