Ultimately, Lemonade cements Beyoncé as an essential voice -- not just an entertainer.

Yet unlike the slick scenes that accompanied 2013's Beyoncé, which found her shifting through an array of glamorous and hopelessly unreal dioramas, Lemonade is freighted with meaning.

Not a movie in the traditional sense. However, Beyonce's long-form video released to help promote her new album "Lemonade" was just about the most intoxicating piece of cinema released in 2016.

This is honestly just a masterpiece of a visual film that has so much human emotion.

A visual album in the format of a film, and not simply separated video clips for each song, the way Beyoncé did for her album Self-Title, is interesting. Whatever Beyoncé and her team tried to do with Lemonade ended up being just what Self-title was, a bunch of video clips put together, but this time, it pretends to be a film, like we wouldn't notice it's not.

This is definitely trying too hard, and telling you to dump or end your marriage while she stayed with Jay Z. Furthermore, ask Mya, the singer of "case of the ex" what she thinks of this. Everyone please stop pretending to like her/and her work when its just a pawn.
