The primal love between mother and son is heartbreakingly vivid. Tender and elliptical, this drama keeps you hooked right up to its unpredictable, provocative ending. Go to Full Review

Without being too conventionally or gratifyingly affirmative, Love Me Tender is a soberly affecting account of personal liberation and the price tag that sometimes comes with it. Go to Full Review

Needless to say, it’s a devastating watch, but made so very compelling by a lead performance that wholly captures the collective rage and frustration of being caught in a destructive and unjust systemic cycle. Go to Full Review

Tina B @TinaB10 1d I found this film so long and boring, and although the central story of a mother fighting for child custody was poignant, it was suffocated by the endless scenes of lesbian sex and middle aged LGBTQ people at nightclubs. I almost fell asleep part way through, which is rare for me. I wouldn't recommend this film. See more Luciano C @Luciano164 May 29 A slow and boring movie. The issue it raises is understood at the very beginning, and then it drags on for more than two hours without any real development. It keeps repeating the same ideas and concepts over and over. It tries to be artistic and avant-garde, but only achieves monotony. I do not recommend it at all. See more Read all reviews
