Critics Consensus

Never Talk to Strangers -- and never make the mistake of believing this silly stalker mystery is the best available viewing option.

[Never Talk to Strangers] isn't as suspenseful as an evening with Hitchcock, but just about diverting enough.

An adequate psychological thriller on a topical theme -- Repressed Memory Syndrome -- but with little special quality, few frills or thrills, and a relaxed, almost languid exposition.

It's basically a direct-to-video erotic thriller blown up to big-screen proportions, but the stars are attractive and it's passably entertaining -- right up to the ridiculous twist ending.

A more or less typical thriller made special by Rebecca De Mornay's awesome performance, she is the executive producer of this picture and must have badly wanted to do this role. I found it a bit slow at times, but the last 20 minutes or so made up for the weak spots, perfect twist movie at the end. So for this being a very well made movie, and that twist making it up at the end, I give " Never Talk To Strangers " a C.

saw on tv 2017. I liked it. It was 'moody', but tense. Banderas was ood as always. And i've always had a crush on Wally George's daughte.

Generally a good film. Something to watch on a cold rainy night.
