Northeast never finds enough direction, or gathers enough oomph, to leave a lasting impression. Go to Full Review Neil Genzlinger New York Times Feb 21, 2013

What little dialogue the film has is deliberately mundane, which can be a legitimate choice in this brand of minimalist filmmaking if it leads to something but here produces only unanswered questions. Go to Full Review Andrew Schenker Village Voice Feb 19, 2013
[It has a] nearly complete disinterest in treating its character as anything but a blank figure on which the audience is called upon to project its own sense of alienation. Go to Full Review Annlee Ellingson Paste Magazine Jan 13, 2012
As irritating as his exposition-less cinema vérité style is, Kohn's thematically autobiographical script builds to an emotional impression that is increasingly universal. Go to Full Review Ethan Alter Television Without Pity Jan 11, 2012

Feb 8, 2012 This is unwatchable and some of the worst filmmaking I've seen. What is up with the slow frame rate? What does this add to the story? Bad cinematography, bad sound, mediocre editing, boring story and mediocre acting. I can't even believe the filmmakers wanted this film to be what it is. I had to quit it after 45 minutes. I just couldn't watch the last 30 minutes because nothing in the first 45 compelled me to wanna watch any further. See more Jan 17, 2012 i usually depend on the RT audience rating to determine whether a movie will be good or not, but this one was an epic fail! slowest, most plot-less independent film i've watched to date!
