Critics Consensus

Now You See Me 2 packs in even more twists and turns than its predecessor, but in the end, it has even less hiding up its sleeve.

It's impossible to dislike NYSM2, a big blousy movie that is giddily in love with its own preposterousness.

Now You See Me 2 is marginally better than its underwhelming 2013 predecessor thanks to new cast additions, but still over-explains and under-delivers.

A needlessly complicated series of bluffs and double-bluffs, which is then unpicked during huge chunks of shouty, self-congratulatory exposition.

A sequel that's faster, flashier and more bombastic than the original.

Was a great film I kind of find it hilarious I’m just now writing my review of this film in 2025. 9 years later however I didn’t know you could write reviews via Fandango. Anyways great film definite watch and honestly hope they make it into a Trilogy definitely worth it.

My least favorite of the Now You See Me series. The plot felt pretty convoluted in this one and I did miss Isla Fisher but all the magic tricks were still so awesome. I wasn't really crazy about Lizzy Caplan's character (Lula May) at first but she did grow on me as the movie went on. Woody Harrelson playing two characters in this was INSANE. Overall, still a good time.

Fun, but not as good as the first one. I found the airplane gag at the end of the movie a bit ridiculous. I find it hard to believe, having ridden on airplanes, that their trucks would fool anyone into thinking that they were flying.

Brilliant! Very fast paced, bedazzling and baffling, like it's predecessor, even more so. Jon M Chu directed this to a tee. Stellar cast all delivers convincingly in character. Amazing cinematography and visually stunning. Lots of action, flair, pizazz, tomfoolery, magic, emotion, twists galore, intrigue, suspense and wonder. Don't blink and listen to every word, there is a LOT of gems hidden in here. Very entertaining, captivating and gripping
