In shining a light on a kind of interstitial moment, an in-between period of definite endings and uncertain beginnings, this year (and a bit) in the life of John Lennon and Yoko Ono finds just enough new angles and details.

Ably directed by filmmakers Kevin Macdonald...and Sam Rice-Edwards,...this feature-length documentary adds some welcome detail to the myths and misconceptions that have hung over John Lennon and Yoko One in the years after the Beatles split.

While the documentary leans heavily on politics and television culture—sometimes at the expense of the music—it never loses its grip on the viewer’s attention.

I really enjoyed how they connected the concert with the relevant topics of the day that centered around the Lennons. John's voice was so strong and powerful that it brought a little sadness knowing this was the only full concert he did without the Beatles.

Really captured the gritty feel of NYC in the early 70's. The concert footage was amazing. Great montages from the era. No talking heads speaking about John & Yoko. Excellent fim!
