In this psychedelic horror film, Asher and Iris are madly in love. After Iris succumbs to cancer, Asher is wracked with grief, searching for answers, wishing he had been taken instead of her. In his quest to reconnect with her, he stumbles into an otherworldly mountain town filled with homicidal maniacs, talking animals, and one very cool dive bar. He's given a tempting offer: try to cheat death and bring her back... but at what cost?

It’s a lot to put on Macudi, who stars here in his first major movie role. But he pulls it off, one of many miracles in this strange and wonderful genre-bender shot in gorgeous, tactile 35mm. Go to Full Review Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting Sep 29, 2026

A whiplash of a movie, but in the best way possible. A trippy, devastating, and incredibly well-acted exploration of grief and love. Buckle up because you are in for the ride of your life. Go to Full Review Brandon Wainerdi Fangoria Sep 28, 2026
