In the 19th century, a mysterious plague turns the English countryside into a war zone. No one is safe as the dead come back to life to terrorize the land. Fate leads Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James), a master of martial arts and weaponry, to join forces with Mr. Darcy (Sam Riley), a handsome but arrogant gentleman. Critics Consensus

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies manages to wring a few fun moments out of its premise, but never delivers the thoroughly kooky mashup its title suggests.

Steers' adaptation of Grahame-Smith's source material is a heck of a lot of fun.

This adaptation of the spoof novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies ditches some of the book's darker elements to make a streamlined female-empowerment story.

The movie strives to be both scary and funny but winds up being neither.

This isn’t a throwaway movie. Despite its issues, it is still fun and manages to be more entertaining than it had any right to be.

Exploits our culture's current obsession with zombies, but it lacks the winking charm hinted upon with its title.

Makes the best of its one joke, the mashup of Austen romantic fiction with zombie realism, deftly (and ridiculously) blending the sublime with the ultraviolent.

People are just haters fr. This movie came out 10 years ago, but it's still super fun and adventurous. Love Lily James in general, but she's great as a kickass Lizzie Bennet, and I think Sam Riley is a perfect Mr Darcy. He has that moody, aloof vibe. 8/10 :D

I think this movie is perfect when you are bored and you want to laugh a bit. I loved this movie, maybe not the best adaptation, but I think the funniest and coolest one.

Fun and frothy and filled with humour. Lena Hedey steals every scene she’s in. Shame they never made a sequel

I liked it. I got what I expected, a fun movie, and it was felt kind of meaningful and nostalgic a little too.
