Critics Consensus

Run Rabbit Run boasts some powerhouse performances, but they're largely overwhelmed by a thin plot and overreliance on stale horror tropes.

Audience Says

Sarah Snook is the main reason to see Run Rabbit Run -- if you're in the mood for a really slow, unoriginal, and somewhat confusing movie, that is.

A psychological thriller that’s mostly effective, even though its story is familiar and somewhat threadbare. Go to Full Review

Not everything works here. Too much is overfamiliar. But Run Rabbit Run retains a clammy grip throughout. Go to Full Review

This is an well-made thriller about ghosts – of the past and present – that keeps one guessing until the end, and perhaps even afterwards. Go to Full Review

The Australian film does a neat job in creating an atmospheric horror but loses its command over the genre after a point. Go to Full Review

The film rests squarely on the shoulders of Succession star Snook, who does a lot of heavy lifting, keeping us sympathetic right up to, and maybe even beyond, the point of revelation. parenthood. Go to Full Review

Neve M @TrippyLifeMe2 2d What can I say smh. A good movie usually captivates you with in the first 10-15 minutes or so. I knew this was trash after I thought let me give it a chance… No 30 minutes in and still NOTHING had happened lol. If I could give it half a star. I would. This film was trash. Had potential from what I saw in the trailer, deceiving. Do NOT waste your time unless you like dull dragged out half hearted "horror" films. By the way just skip right to an hour and about 5 or 10 minutes in to see any form of erm action "thriller". Absolutely terrible. Nothing in this made me jump or scream or hide behind my cushion. The story line is very flakey with parts of the film not really fully explained, linked or needed. I couldn’t connect with any of the characters because there was just no depth. And wow poor girl. Driest birthday party. One thing I will say is I guess the mom (forgot the actors name) got better with her acting towards the end as acting crazy lol. See more lorenzo b @LorenzoBiondani 5d The low rating of this movie surprised me, because I found it quite enjoyable to watch. Yes, it's really slow, but in a good way. The story unfolds piece by piece, and it just makes a lot of sense. It would definitely benefit from scarier scenes. See more Marcie K @Marciek Dec 7 Run viewer run! Please don’t watch this, complete wast of time. Everything that sucks in a horror, not scary, not intriguing and definitely not worth the watch. Can’t actually remember a thing that happened because it was such a forgettable plot. Just 100 mins of daughter and mum fighting and a random ahh rabbit which just reminded me of the savage rabbit from Monty python. Apart from this rabbit just hopped around and apparently had free roam of the house. Like what sane mother lets a rabbit live in the house? Surely it would poo everywhere?! Also the end resolved none of my questions ( most of them to do with the rabbit ) and left me confused and disappointed. Awful film . See more Antuan Y. @AntuYo Aug 4 If you want to waste an hour and 30 minutes, this is the movie to do so. Poor acting, the plot is all over the place so sometimes you forget what they’re talking about. You’re not gonna have a good time with this movie, just a boring watch. (Side Note: why is the little girl so bipolar like just stop).
