Irene M @igawel May 12, 2021 this felt like a cross between Northern Exposure and Local Hero. In ways it was quite whimsically delightful. It just funny and the village is really charming because they just act like people who just wants good things for everyone. Moreover, this movie has a really good morale. For instance, the village are all unemployed and it is humiliating for them to receive their check of "béese" at every month so they just want a factory because being unemployed is like a shame, here. I would say also that it makes you realize that life is really good even if you are far from cities and that people living on this island are people that have the same good and welcoming heart as someone who never or barely went in a city. Good, funny and touching film! The game reach absurd levels enough to tickled the sides a few times. Sympathetic ensemble in a beautiful environment. See more Nov 20, 2014 Had to watch this for French class. It had its funny moments, but overall it was just average See more May 21, 2014 Drôle, émouvant et une bonne réflexion sur les villages qui se meurent. See more Read all reviews
