Critics Consensus

She's Out of My League has moments of humor and insight, but it's bogged down by excessive vulgarity and cartoonishness.

Even with being an amalgamation of hits and misses, it manages to do the one thing most romcoms don't; make you think after it's over.

A sticky joke, badly chewed and drawn out for almost two hours when in the first ten minutes is had already lost its flavor. [Full review in Spanish]

Such a sweet little rom com! A very simple story, but the charm carries it through. The emotions landed, the leads did their job, and it left me with a smile.

As a lover of romantic comedies, this didn't disappoint. While not as great as the heavyweights, it's entertaining and funny.

Funny as hell! Great cast and so many terrific scenes. Kyle Bornheimer is really good. I laughed out loud so many times. The family scenes were too hilarious.

She Is Out of My League has a premise with potential, but it fails to fully deliver a satisfying or engaging story. The film relies heavily on predictable romantic comedy tropes, which makes the plot feel formulaic and unoriginal. The main characters lack depth, and their motivations are often unclear or unconvincing, making it difficult to care about their relationship. Performances are uneven, with moments of humor that work occasionally, but many jokes fall flat or feel forced. The pacing is inconsistent, dragging in some areas and rushing through others, which disrupts any emotional impact. While there are small moments of charm, they are too infrequent to overcome the film's weaknesses. Overall, She Is Out of My League is forgettable, offering light entertainment without leaving a lasting impression.
