SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE is a wall-to-wall cinematic action event, a sequel to the original sleeper hit SISU. Returning to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war, "the man who refuses to die" (Jorma Tommila) dismantles it, loads it on a truck, and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor. When the Red Army commander who killed his family (Stephen Lang from Don't Breathe) comes back hellbent on finishing the job, a relentless, eye-popping cross-country chase ensues -- a fight to the death, full of clever, unbelievable action set pieces.

Audience Says

The Road to Revenge is often the most spectacularly violent and Sisu delivers the carnage it promises -- and then some.

The writer-director Jalmari Helander invests the set-pieces with a welcome air of Looney Tunes absurdity, somehow neutralising the horror of mass murder.

This larger-scaled sequel almost inevitably lacks some of the freshness that made the original such a kick. Still, the director’s undeniable flair for gleefully excessive mayhem and propulsive pacing will more than satisfy those who loved its predecessor.

The sequel to the excellent action film directed by Jalmari Helander proves that the purest, most quintessential techniques and storytelling can serve the purposes of spectacle, entertainment, lightheartedness, and —truly— great cinema.

Jumping from one shade of Eurofascist red to another, Sisu: Road to Revenge is a worthwhile sequel for a film that otherwise didn’t need one.

An entertaining 90 minutes with enough inventive action to justify the ride. The first Sisu remains the stronger movie.

I really love(d) SISU. I loved the simple yet ambitious storyline and everything it brought to the table. SISU: Road To Revenge was great too, but, it felt like it lost what deoth the first brought. worht a watch, absolutely. as mindblowing , at moments, yes. overall. the first installment is definitely the better of the two.

Not as good as the first Sisu movie but still passable. It’s a forgettable movie, but if you like the original Sisu, you will be entertained enough watching the sequel.
