Paul Gardner P @RT32896819 Feb 23, 2025 A family member and I starting watching this based on the great reviews. We were mystified after about a 1/2 an hour. We found it confusing and boring to say the least. A women in a room surrounded by computers speaking with callers alternating in a French accent made no sense. What was the point the script was going to continue on this way with no apparent reason. Wasn't captivating at all. Saw no further reason to continue and switched to a better movie option. The plot is clever, with enough twists and turns to keep you glued to the screen. But the best was saved for last. As far as acting, Koko Marshall gave a Herculean performance to carry that ninety percent of the film. Rick Ives, the writer and director, exhibits commendable skill, and Dakota Curtis's camera work is notably sharp. However, it's KoKo Marshall's captivating performance that truly steals the spotlight. Set predominantly in a single location with a primary focus on one actor, the film proves to be a compelling showcase of talent. Despite the initial premise of a high-end bank heist, the movie cleverly navigates both the intricacies of the heist and the intense character study of the lone actor. It's a testament to the film's brilliance that it seamlessly combines these elements into a smart, engaging, and intriguing thriller. "Solid Rock Trust" is more than just a heist movie; it's a masterful blend of suspense, emotion, and mystery. The narrative unfolds with a gripping intensity that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. See more J. H @RT70343520 Aug 3, 2023 Man, let me tell you about this flick, Solid Rock Trust, man, a real intriguing action/thriller that'll set your soul on fire! Rick Ives, the maestro behind this masterpiece, weaves a tale that's got me hooked from start to finish. The music, man, it's like a raging river, carrying you along with the story's twists and turns. And the pacing, oh man, it's like a jazz solo, hitting all the right notes at just the right time. It keeps you on the edge, man, heart pounding with anticipation. The camera work, a symphony of angles and shots, adds to the tension, and we're stuck in one place, but it's like we're in a labyrinth of intrigue. The special effects makeup, it's wild, man! It's like seeing dreams come to life on the silver screen. Kudos to the main actress, Koko Marshall, she's a real gem, man. She breathes life into her character with all those accents and scenarios. You don't know which side she's on, and it keeps you guessing, man, keeps you guessing. The sound design, oh, it's spot-on, man! It's like the heartbeat of the whole flick, especially in a one-location movie like this. It wraps you up in the experience, makes you feel like you're right there, in the thick of it all. The music is really strong and kept me engaged as the story moved along. The story's pacing was wonderful, too. I also truly enjoyed the camera work and how it helped the pacing and also built tension, while keeping visual intrigue since we remained in one location the whole time. The special effects makeup was awesome! The main actress, Koko Marshall, did a fantastic job with all of the accents and different scenarios she was spinning throughout the whole story, and kept me wondering who she really was and what she was going to do next. Whose side was she on? It was so hard to tell! Very good storytelling. The sound design was also spot-on, which is especially important in a one-location movie such as this one. This one is definitely worth your time! Check it out! See more Dwayne S @RT00167985 Feb 9, 2023 The film, "Rock Solid Trust," follows the story of a female mastermind, who leads a team of thieves on a daring cyber heist. What sets this movie apart from others in the genre is, instead of relying on traditional heist elements and visuals, the film is told from the female mastermind's POV, who controls her team and every aspect of the heist with several cell phones and a bank of computers. For the first two acts of the film we mostly only see the mastermind, her cohorts are just voices on the cell phones. This approach is clever and surprisingly effective. The lead actress does an amazing job of pretty much carrying the entire first two acts of the movie. She's supported by some amazing voice acting that managed to make these unseen characters quite vivid. The third act opens things up a bit and we get some nice surprises, but the initial contained conceit for the most part is skillfully maintained. The cinematography is confident and professional, but what really stands out is the audio work. The film is loaded with complex sound effects mixed with voice performances and it's handled expertly. Despite the limitations of location and bodies on screen, the film's director does an excellent job of keeping the visual and narrative interesting from start to finish. Whether you're a fan of heist movies or just looking for a fun and suspenseful film, "Rock Solid Trust" is definitely worth checking out. See more Read all reviews
