Supergirl is another colourful entry in the DCU, giving Milly Alcock a chance to show her film credentials. The sense of chaotic energy works but there is a lot thrown at the screen and some characters feel sorely underdeveloped.

Overall, I thought the movie was good.I think the critics destroyed it as a standalone film. I think it did great and I can't wait to see how she turns out in man of tomorrow!!

It was so lovely to see a female-led superhero film that showcased the nuance of being powerful but also restrained in using it for justice vs revenge. The leads were amazing, demonstrated whimsy and complexity at every turn, and made you feel like time stopped for those 2 hours-ish sat in the theater.
