Robert P @Superbad 18 hrs ago The Head Hunter is a *3* star Movie! See more Kevin L @Lakeman Aug 5, 2026 I'm about midway between the critics & the public audience on this one. Budgetary issues taken into consideration, the visual aspects are pretty damn impressive. Set design, the clothing/weapons, & the location (Iceland?) work very much in the director's favor. It all helps to set a deathknell-type tone that works well. But I still felt the movie was rather lethargic; dragging at times. Odd for such a short movie, but that how it was for me. That's some funky revitalization juju he has, but it worked; too well, it turns out. Why not actually show more of the fights? The movie could've used some more action sequences. But then, another actual character or two for the lead to interact with would be a plus as well. 2.8 stars See more Jordan P @JordanHPost May 15, 2026 It's very tricky to fairly judge a film, especially a specific niche film like this. It's a mixed bag. First off, I can't believe this has a budget of only $30k. Many props for proving that you don't need 10s of millions to make a well crafted atmospheric world and story. Very impressed with the actor as well. We have to see the film for where it's at. Very well done for the little it had to work with. I feel the film is being harshly judge due to the lack of knowledge of what the film is, which is "low budget". But, of course critics never lining up with reality giving this film way too much praise like the shills that they are. No way this is a 94%. 9.4 stars out of 10? Really? 7.5 at the most. One thing that bothered me was some of the terrible monster designs. The head props were good, but that alien looking monster at the end was uncreative. 60/40 of weak to strong areas of the film. 60% being the weaker side. Cheap film to rent to kill an hour and ten. Worth it I guess. See more Craig B @Boundsy Apr 24, 2026 Look, it's okay, given it is very short and you dont have to invest too much time. Some pretty cool 'real' moster effects rather than CGI.
