While awaiting the next fuel truck at a middle-of-nowhere Arizona rest stop, a traveling young knife salesman is thrust into a high-stakes hostage situation by the arrival of two similarly stranded bank robbers with no qualms about using cruelty--or cold, hard steel--to protect their bloodstained, ill-begotten fortune.

In addition to obtaining outstanding performances from all his actors, the director demonstrates that he has extensive knowledge of the cinematographic language, and uses it to immerse us in its simple but ingenious story. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

A quirky, indie Neo-noir Western with a dash of Coen Brothers and a sprinkle of Tarantino. Darkly funny, well acted, and cleverly written. Go to Full Review

"Last Stop in Yuma County" is the kind of movie where you root for the worst to happen, because every escalation of misfortune makes things more entertaining. Go to Full Review

This film is at minimum an extremely fun ensemble piece that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat, but also gives the audience the chance to look in the mirror and ask what they might do in a situation such as this. Go to Full Review

I don’t often describe something as a good yarn, but “The Last Stop in Yuma County” is one. Go to Full Review

333.zerimar 08/04/2024 all the details were great! Reservoir Dogs vibes 😍 the way they shot it, the setting, the perspective, the style (Tarantino), just great See more Hector 05/16/2024 good story, put together very well👍 See more Danny Z 05/12/2024 Pretty freaking good movie for not as much press given but surprisingly really good and left me thinking. definitely recommend See more Ted E @Ted.epstein 3d We seem to be in an era of pointless movies. OK, this movie is supposed to be a black comedy, not a penetrating commentary on the human condition. But the superficial elements - wry humor, situational tension, action, and a nostalgic style and setting - aren't enough, or good enough, to create a highly entertaining experience. And what's underneath the veneer? What reason does it give us to care about these characters and what happens to them? What is its message, other than money corrupts and people are all buffoonish, greedy, inept, pathetic slobs? At its core, this movie is bitter and soulless. I don't see the point. See more Dallas H @FozzieMcFly 4d I am sort of split on this movie. The acting is decent, so I have no issues there. I struggled a little bit here and there with the plot and character development, feeling it was a bit simplistic and shallow a few times throughout the movie. By the time we get to the actual moment of the weapon-filled stand-off, the tension finally breaks the long-awaited, snail-paced pacing to get to the next level of storytelling the audience knew was going to happen eventually and felt like a long while to get to. The crying baby was my rhubarb pie moment of "Oh, what the hell? Sure, why not?" Finally, I got a bit of a laugh when the young, aspiring criminal doubles down on his liking for redheads when he mentions that he prefers Kit and Holly from Badlands (1973) over the Bonnie and Clyde comparison. See more William S @williamjfsommer Jan 11 Ambitious, yet flat and not very appealing visually. It constantly reminds you that there are better movies like it, and the meta layers and Marvel-esque humor dressed as a Tarantino movie just doesn´t cut it for me personally. The actors perform mostly well, the idea is good, it´s just poorly executed and plain boring See more Read all reviews
