Critics Consensus

Cacophonous, thinly plotted, and boasting state-of-the-art special effects, The Last Knight is pretty much what you'd expect from the fifth installment of the Transformers franchise.

Michael Bay has promised that this is the last Transformers movie he will direct, which is no small relief. It will not, alas, be the last Transformers movie.

Transformers: The Last Knight is the pinnacle of summer blockbuster stupidity. The only thing that could top it is another Transformers sequel, a nightmare to imagine.

We’re rushed from point to point as Bay and company drown us in nonsensical mythologizing that never reaches any kind of satisfying conclusion. It’s all excess and overload that quickly devolves into a grind.

One of Michael Bay's most underrated over-stimulations. This is the gleeful byproduct of a filmmaker freed from self-imposed franchise servitude a five-alarm fire sale of every cockamamie "Transformers" concept and set-piece Bay had yet to explore.

One scene features a pair of bickering Transformers voiced by John Goodman and Steve Buscemi. With John Turturro also appearing in the film, it's safe to say THIS is the reunion movie that The Big Lebowski devotees were eagerly awaiting.

If I can summarize this film is just action action and more action the plot well more action. The plot of this film is just action nothing more at times its silly as it goes so fast in action that you forget what the film is about. Michael Bay does not cared about plot only about action scenes. For people who only cared about that, then this would be a wonderful film but for people like me who care to know what this film is about well at times like me you will fall asleep.

A movie that has great soundtrack, action sequences, and great sound effects. But man, the story just feels off compared to the other 4 and ruins everything with knights and Queentesa been a bad villain. The movie could be better but unfortunately we don’t know if the sequel is coming or not to finish great the universe.
