Even as the “V/H/S” installments themselves remain fresh, the mat they fit feels progressively nostalgic. That’s an awkward position for a property whose modern reputation was made on cutting-edge discovery. Go to Full Review

Throughout the practical effects are over the top, rubbery and absurd; so much so they would struggle to frighten a toddler, but with its unpleasantly warped humour it’s not really for kids anyway. Go to Full Review

Astonishingly, it manages to shirk free of the nagging earnestness that is smothering modern pop art. It’s wildly uneven and embraces that inconsistency as part of the risk. Go to Full Review

All things considered, this seems likely to be the least accomplished V/H/S film of the series so far. Go to Full Review

It’s a collection of increasingly unhinged vignettes, united by grotesque humor, gore, and enough bodily fluids to make you wonder if the film had a dedicated mop budget. Go to Full Review

Overall, I thought this entry in the V/H/S franchise was good, but not great. Go to Full Review

Cheriel R @Cheriel27 31 min ago This is probably the worst in the franchise, or at least the worst I can remember. I'm only giving it 1 star because of the puppet segment. A complete letdown from last year. See more Josh A @Ghostyahosty 6 hrs ago I have loved this franchise and have been waiting for something new from this franchise and this hands down, by a very wide margin…THE ABSOLUTE WORST v/h/s that has ever been released. How it is number 2 on AMC is mind boggling. I won’t be looking forward to the next. Be aware parents also the first 5 minutes is 2 dudes in monster suits jizzing all over each other. Brain rot to the extreme whoever green lit this needs to be fired. See more Philip K @RT52309352 15 hrs ago It's an okay movie I guess, wouldn't break top 3 VHS movies, but something to watch, would recommend just skipping over the GWAR interludes. The first segment bumps this up even though there's not much of a story to it, but I guarentee you it will be the only segment we will remember from this movie Really was hoping VHS would have went back to their roots with a main story that end up watching tapes. could have had GWAR tied into a main story at a concert of theirs or somesort, some fan goes backstage and gets fed these tapes yadda yadda, maybe GWAR could have been "villians" or something. Instead we the audience got fed cringe that really tied nothing together, complete waste of GWAR and the last skit which was the longest was a corny snoozefest See more Tamela B @RT46093049 15 hrs ago Its crazy How they collaborated With jim Henson's creature shop and Gwar! See more Sergio H @pacmankillers 16 hrs ago I understand what this V/H/S release was aiming for in terms of music, but god... What a terrible way to execute it. The main story could well have been used to make an allegory about those music programs, whether old or current, This is nothing like an MTV show. They could have even used GWAR in a better way; in the end, this seems pointless and poorly improvised. Segments are generally good but nothing remarkable. See more Cohen L @Fidgetboy 17 hrs ago I really enjoyed the first segment with the puppets, their song was amazing, the other segments were honestly okay, the stop motion one was fine and I’m happy what happened to the grandma, the last segment was pretty good, and the others were again, also wasn’t expecting the first segment to get a post credit scene wonder if their were any in the other films, overall this film was pretty good See more Read all reviews
