When former U.N. investigator Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) and his family get stuck in urban gridlock, he senses that it's no ordinary traffic jam. His suspicions are confirmed when, suddenly, the city erupts into chaos. A lethal virus, spread through a single bite, is turning healthy people into something vicious, unthinking and feral. A Terrific Zombie Apocolypse Movie. Marc Foster is an amazing director for this movie. I get very excited for the movies when any sort of pandemic is about to happen, where there is panic everywhere & not many can survive. I got what is meant by martial laws. Brad Pitt/Gerry is the main one who is great: he must leave his family in refuge & around the world to fight against the Zombie virus. It gets us when he can talk to his wife on a (burner) phone with their children in fear. What if he never got to meet them again? He is more than a father. What else gets us? The other people he was with along the way. Some turn to zombies in the WHO building. I wanted more zombies! I wanted to see those people turning into figures with no soul! I wanted to see those obstacles towards Gerry! The end sees this movie similar to "I Am Legend" with the vaccine finally gotten & a location for the family & other survivors in Nova Sovia. Was there hope for other areas? Let's say this one was better.

I think everyone is giving it a much harder time. For 2013 the visuals are good and it is one of the most original zombie movies I have personally watched. The plot is good, a lot of action, good suspense and the final reveal is so original and brings about a new point of view that hasnt been explored. The actors are really good and I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes the zombie apocalypse genre. Loved it!

Obviously, it’s not amazing, but something to really appreciate is that this is basically the zombie’s genre big blockbuster. Most of them aren’t.

Watched it again last night thought it was a lot better than when I previously watched it. The effects were very good for 2013. Very apt as well prior to COVD that came later. Brad Pitt always good value to watch.
